Education

It is God’s desire that all Christians have a good understanding of his word (II Timothy 2:15). The education program at Bethel seeks to carry out this very important part of God’s will by providing classroom instruction for all ages. Children start classes as soon as their mother feels comfortable bringing them to the Cradle Roll class, for children from 0 - 2 years of age. There are also classes for preschool children after age 2.

Children from 4 years through 8th grade study from a curriculum provided by Bible Study Guide. This material takes the student on a 4 year cycle of studying through the Old Testament, and through the New Testament in alternating segments. In this way, our students will study through the Old Testament and the New Testament twice, starting at 4 yrs of age, and finishing by the end of the 8th grade. The Bible Study Guide material presents Bible accounts not found in other quarterly based curriculum.

The high school classes undertake topical studies as well as textual studies. Such studies serve the purpose of going deeper and aiding in understanding how to remain faithful and please God by doing His will in a world at best indifferent to spiritual matters.

Classes are also offered for young adults, single, married, with and without children. There are classes for older adults as well. A Ladies class taught by one of the ladies meets on Wednesday night, and a Ladies class taught by the pulpit minister meets during the week. Not counting adults, there are nearly 100 students at Bethel, taught by 45 men and women on a rotating basis.
